Review summary:
The Soraya Anal Beads from Lelo is branded towards anal play but it’s much more than just that. I freaking love the new Bow-Motion vibration mode which feels like the entire thing is thrusting without it even moving. Try that on your partner’s nipples and other erotic zones – It feels amazing!
You can easily use the Soraya Beads as your very first anal toy due to the pointy and small footprint of the first bead. It is however quite pricy for a first anal toy, but it’s well worth it in my mind.
What I like about it:
- I freaking love the vibration patterns which feel like nothing I’ve ever tried before
- It’s hard to explain what good quality feels like, but I always end up comparing other sex toys to Lelo’s because of the supreme quality and the Soraya Beads did not disappoint
- Good for beginners who wish to get into anal play
- It can be used for solo play and couples play
- Easy to adjust vibration patterns and intensity
What I don’t like about it:
- I wish it came with a remote control, adjusting settings as a solo player is a bit annoying
- It would have been nice with some flexibility and more length between each bead for deeper anal play
- The price is pretty hefty at $229, the quality is there to support the price but it’s still a lot for a sex toy
I recommend the Lelo Soraya Beads if you’re after a high-quality vibrating anal beads-dildo for males and females.

My Full Review
I got the new Soraya Beads from Lelo about a month ago and have been testing and enjoying it several times since.
It’s kind of a weird product that’s hard to put in a category (not that I have to), but it’s kind of a mix between vibrating anal beads and a beaded anal dildo.
I’ve never had a toy like this in my 12 years working as a sex toy reviewer and tester.
Getting Ready for First Entry
The Soraya Beads arrived in a white cardboard box with no indication of the content on it.
You’re getting the “Lelo” standard sex toy accessories in the box:
- The Soraya Beads
- USB charging cable (no power brick included)
- A single water-based lube pack
- Warranty card
- Card with a link to download the manual
Avoid Running Out of Battery
I always start with a full charge, few things in this world are more annoying than running out of juice just before climax!
There was a bit of charge on the device when I got it but it’s always a good idea to top it up, a full charge from 0% should take less than 2 hours.
Pro tip: Don’t force the charging port in, it’s not meant to go all the way in and you can break it if you put too much pressure on it.
Adjusting Vibrations has Never Been Easier
There is a good chance that you already know how to adjust the different vibration settings and patterns if you already own a Lelo sex toy. The Soraya Beads use the same 3 button layout as most of their toys.
I like that they don’t try to reinvent the wheel each time they make a toy but use a known good layout.
I just wish they would have included a remote control because it can be a little awkward adjusting the settings when you’re using it solo. Not a deal breaker at all and it would properly have increased the price even more, but something to keep in mind.
Clean Yourself for More Pleasure
This is a huge one for me – It can mess with my head if I start thinking “Did I clean enough? Or Should I have done more” during anal play. I find it much easier to relax if I know I’ve done what I can to clean myself and it makes it much more likely that I get an orgasm.
You can get special shower attachments for cleaning your butt, but I prefer using an anal douche which is much more gentle and easier to control.
I thought Lelo sold some type of anal cleaning device but I can’t find it on their website now, it might just have been my head messing with me again 😉
Any anal douche will work, I found a basic one on Lovehoney.com which also sells the Soraya Beads.
Wild Vibration Power
One of the strong points of the Soraya Beads is the vibration power and patterns which I’ve never experienced anything like before.
Note: The noise level is much higher because it’s vibrating on a hard surface.
How it Feels to use the Soraya Beads
Let me start by telling you that it feels nothing like using traditional anal beads, it does have that popping feel when each bead penetrates but that’s about it. The real magic starts when the vibrator turns on and you use the Bow-motion pattern or whatever they call their new “thrusting pattern”.
It feels pretty much like a thrusting movement but without any actual thrusting going on. It’s amazing what you can do with these tiny new vibrator motors, they are so powerful and the vibration patterns are fun to explore.
Cleaning it is Super Easy
I’ve cleaned 100’s of male sex toys like Fleshlights, pocket pussies, and other masturbators and it’s always a hassle compared to cleaning vibrators, dildos, and the Lelo Soraya Beads.
I simply just use mild anti-bacterial soap and warm water to rinse it off with.
You can get special sex toy cleaner products but I don’t see the point in having yet another cleaning product that could be replaced by any product that I already own.
How does it Compare to Other Anal Sex Toys?
The Soraya Beads are positioned between anal beads and an anal dildo which makes it like a beaded anal dildo but with some flexibility.
I like this approach because it solves some of the problems you might have with anal beads yet keeps the amazing popping feeling you get from them.
It’s a much more beginner-friendly anal toy compared to butt plugs and anal dildos which tend to be a lot thicker.
I would personally recommend it for couples who wish to get into anal sex, both for men and women. The beads are small enough to get started without any previous practice.

FAQ
A: Any water-based sex toy lube will do; you can start with the two single packs of lube that come with the Soraya Beads. Avoid using silicone-based lube since it can damage the surface and it’s really hard to clean.
A: Yes, but you are limited in terms of flexibility and total length. It is hard to make true vibrating anal beads without having a thick string between the beads.
A: It’s 60db. according to the specifications, but it feels a lot quieter due to the low frequency. It’s hard to explain but it’s nothing to worry about and way less than similar products like the b-Vibe Cinco Anal Beads that has a higher pitch sound.
A: Yes, it’s a very beginner-friendly anal toy. One problem with “normal” anal beads is that they are notoriously hard to get in.
The thick parts between each bead of the Soraya Beads make it less flexible and easier to insert, even in a tight butthole. It does also help that the first bead is slightly pointy and quite small.
A: It’s certainly stiff enough to be used as a prostate massager but it’s quite uncomfortable to hold it when it’s not inserted all the way.
Another issue is the tiny first bead which makes it harder to put pressure on the right spot. It is however possible and nothing should prevent you from trying different things with your sex toys.
My Final Thoughts About the Lelo Soraya Beads
I enjoyed testing the Lelo Soraya Beads, it surprised me positively in a way that I was not expecting. I was not expecting the Bow-motion to be as good as it was and I’m super excited for what else Lelo can do with this technology.
But if you’re expecting some traditional vibrating anal beads then look elsewhere because that’s not what the Soraya Beads is.
It’s much more like a vibrating beaded anal dildo with a bit of flexibility between the beads, perfect for anal beginners and experienced users.
I would highly recommend it if you’re after a high-quality anal starter toy that’s easy to use, yet powerful and fun enough for experienced users.
